In Settings → Email delivery choose:
- SMTP account (recommended): log in to a mailbox on this or another server. The port and encryption are detected automatically, and unencrypted connections are never used.
- Server mailer: hands mail to the server's mail service. No setup, but mail comes from the server hostname and is more likely to be treated as spam.
Press Test connection, then Save. Most mail servers reject a From address outside the authenticated mailbox's domain, so keep Send from on the same domain.
If the test reports a certificate problem with a self-signed certificate, tick Accept a self-signed certificate (pinned). The certificate seen by the test is remembered, and later sends refuse any other. The link is always encrypted.
